Does anyone have any info on "CENTS" with a printing fault that makes the "C" look like a "G"? How common is this?

According to Scott's Specialized Catalogue...11A 3 cents has Double Transfer "Gents" instead of "Cents" CV used $55 (2010 Catalogue)

Hope this helps

Don't know how rare it is, but in 1851-57 who do you suppose the three gents would have been?

Rick, This does not appear to be a double transfer but if such is only valued at $55, the frequency of Gents must be relatively common.

This isn't position 66R2L, the "GENTS" instead of "CENTS" variety. I actually sold one on cover last week on ebay. The 66R2L double transfer is visible across the entire label block. I think this stamp just has some foreign matter embedded in the paper.

Plate 2L stamps are not that uncommon, it is the second most common plate, but it is 100 times harder to find any one particular position. So, 66R2L can be tough to find, especially a really nice one.
