I had a few stamps this time that would come of but the adhesive would stay on the stamp or it would tear the stamp in layers. Also one has the please place stamp here symbol imprinted in the back of it?
These are not valuable stamps but I don't like to fail.

Any suggestions as to what is going wrong or what i'm doing wrong would be appreciated.

You are letting the gum stay cold, use boiling water and do not peal; slide.
