Wow doodles

Sounds like you have a great collection. I bought 4 more binders this week and some more paper. I think I'll print off Great Britain next, I have a trading partner waiting to see what I have for spares.

I'm a bit pedantic in nature so I keep them to a minimum, but I have to amend my last statement of 16 to this.
I have 3 Liberty albums,1 Minuteman,1 All America and 2 Seven Seas 1 no name album (Australian).
11 FDC album and 9 stock books and this is me downsized .
And I thought I was a serious collector ,
so that's 19 albums not including stock books

I just recently sorted my Scott pages. The pages are from 1840 to 1992 with all supplements and stood 62" high. I sorted them by country from by year and put in over 2000 interleaves. There are a total of 12016 pages. It was a major project that I kept putting off. They are housed in 30 binders that are 3" to 4" and I put them in plastic milk crates. They fit 3 per crate and stacked the 10 crates up to make a bookshelf. The binders I had worked out well as I had different sizes to use to put 1 letter per year although some took 2 or 3 books. As far as the early pages are concerned, I have used a computer program and made my own pages which look so much better than Scott pages as they are complete.
This does not count my 3 US albums, 8 plate block albums, 8 mint sheet albums, 6 Scott specialty albums or numerous stock books.

So many books, people! Crazy. I have one lowly 3" binder with stock sheets that is nearing capacity right now... Time for a second!

But then again, I only started in June.

Clark,
It takes time & money to accumulate & organize any collection regardless of size. You are on you way as you've said your 3 inch binder is nearly full. Most of us would have more binders if everything was organized and not in piles, boxes, and glassines or bags. Then there is the pile of on paper stamps that need soaked. As long as your are having fun size doesn't matter.

LOL, people seem to think I'm a bit touchy on the size of my collection... must be something in the tone of my last post. My comment was more on the lines of shock over the vast volumes of stamps people have accrued. It is almost mind boggling. I'm not worried about the size of my collection; it is slowly but surely on its way.

Oh, and my pile of on paper stamps that will probably never be soaked has already begun...

Jaxom, my 8 scott internationals are a mish mosh...up to 1960..i have the pages together by country...from 1960 to 1969 I just left the albums the way they came..it gets complicated when I have to place a stamp...when I saw what was starting to come out in the way of stamps in the late 60's I cut off worldwide collecting...who needs a country that issues 20 pages of stamps a year ???
