Was fortunate to inherit this LH stamp, maybe would grade close to a 95?

enlarged in photoshop it measures:
left margin 35 units
right margin 33 units

bottom margin 27.5 units
top margin 28.5 units

So not perfectly centered, but pleasing to the eye anyway.

Kevin, I have not only seen examples of grades given that had to have depended on who sent them in (100's with short perfs, for example), but I have heard discussions between dealers who have been on the short end of such gradings. PSE is a FOR PROFIT experizing and grading service; they are going to treat their biggest customers right.

The $5.00 Hamilton stamp (# 1053) is the last U.S. stamp to be perforated 11 x 11 by two old rotary flat plate perforators. It is also one of the few and the last dry printed U.S. flat plate stamp.

I am surprised (maybe I shouldn't be) that there is not more participation in this thread. As I am not totally familiar of all grading criteria; what if the stamp image measures equal from the perf top to bottom, left to right but the margins are slightly different? In other words top and bottom measure 1mm, left to right measure .5mm. Where do these fall in the scale?

eaglebub7.....that is a nice RW11.
This stamp is the hardest to find well centered (my opinion)
of all the ducks.
Centering is good...I do see a hint of a gum bend (center duck neck area)...my guess 85-90.
Here is a 85....

Thanks kevin and yes, there is a bit of a gum bend in there which I understand is normal up to RW20??

Any info as to my other question would be appreciated

Here is another without gum bends. The right side margin is 1mm, the other 3 are 3/4mm.

look carefully at the teeth on the first orange duck stamp. Does it look like it might have been re-perforated? looks like those little semi-circles leftover from old perforations? Beautiful stamp however and I hope I'm wrong about that too.

Mike, I'd give it an A+ on character alone.

LOL, I forgot about this thread and that I posted the Queen stamp. I've always kept this stamp because everyone else that had it before me deemed it worth keeping and no one bothered to toss it in the trash. So I'm not going to be the one to do it. I like it just the way it is :)

Hellow fellow collectors !

any ideas how to rate this stamp ?

it's catalogued as a 307A in Michel Deutschland Spezial
and as 267 in Scott

the thing is the condition is far from perfect :
How much of it's value would be left ?

there is a small cut in the upper right corner could be perforation related ?
also got a very very light fold line in the upper right corner.

The value for a cancelled 307 in Michel(2011) is 2000 euro

any thoughts on this ?

greetings,
Eric
