Hi all,

I have a guestion about a US scott 5 "one cent" stamp, I did google around about this stamp but as a non-stamp collector its almost impossible to differentiate all the types of this particular stamp...

Unfortunatly the stamp is badly cut but nevertheless I would like to know a little bit more about it, like what type is it or any other information.

Any input is welcome.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to SCF, Obediah!

The 1c Franklins are some of the most challenging of all US stamps to identify.

Sinclair is one of our resident 1c Franklin experts and his conclusions as good as it gets.

In spite of the condition issues, this is still quite collectable. Retail value for one in this condition would be $5-$10

It's always nice to see large sheet margins on the early US imperforates.
