Hello

I have some post cards from the 19th century which pose problems more recent issues do not. I will get the envelope PDFs but I haven't seen the same for post cards. Are there some ?
Here are two issues I face in older collections. One is what I believe was an initial attempt by the recipient to re-use a card but gave up because of the cancel. Is it collectable ? The other is postmarks. I suspect some postmarks for cards were not always the same as those for envelopes. Probably a misperception on my part. So on some cases I cannot find complete dates on the cancellations. It leads me to wonder, in cases of looking for early issues or FDCs if I am okay using a date written on the back. Example provided.
