you have two different stamps going on there. It seems that your reference stamp a #220 and the ones on cover could one of a few different options depending on what type it is. Need a larger and more clear image of them to see the triangles, Georges hair and possibly toga button. Nice looking cover though!

Edit:
I noticed it has a #279 Postal Union color green 1¢ Franklin so it most likely is either a #279B or from how the color of them show up on my monitor -kind of an orang-ish then maybe a #279Bd. look to see if they are Type IV's. (I see in the title it says they are Type IV.'s)

Use these to help you determine what type they are if you aren't sure?
-Cheers

From the first pic I would say rose carmine, but the second pick appears different color. Which pic more accurately shows the color you see in person?

If they was rose-carmine that would be one expensive cover! $200.@ (full catalog value) according to my 2009 scott catalog. Of course real-world prices for a pristine pair would probably be closer to $50.00 though.

You could use the Scott Specialized Color Guide to differentiate 279B colors. I have one, but its of no use unless you see the stamp in person OR you indicate whether the pics you posted accurately portray the color of the stamp and which pic is the one you want an opinion on.

In the first you have some carmine shade probably and in the second pic we see some orange.

Try this page and see if your color is there: http://www.theswedishtiger.com/279B-scotts.html

I would say it's just carmine with some age to it. The second image has obvious yellow-orange overtones due to the lighting so I believe the first image is closer to accurate than the second.

The reason I say that is you must look around the 2's or anywhere it is a solid color. When their are the lines and you see the white behind it it will undoubtedly look pink-ish but the solid parts look clearly carmine to me. I actually have one on cover that I will dig out and scan for you later so you can see what I mean.
