So it seems the E7 perfin went for $58.65 at auction (with 11 bids). Since a used E7 (without perfin) has a SCV of $50, I guess this is one of those instances where a perfin actually adds value to a stamp (undoubtedly due to the few examples that have been reported).

Thank you Kevin. I based my guess on the fact that there were only two active bidders at the higher price levels.

Ok, who besides me ran to check for perfins on their E7's? I didn't find any either.

Sad to say I don't own an E7. Suffice it to say my US stamp collection plays second fiddle to my interest in postal history.
