Guide dot on one of my #72's in upper left corner to the left of the "U" in "United".



There are 2 on this #76 at the bottom.



and a few more on this #90



There are lot's of these on the large Banknote issues too.

Guide dots appearing at the top of a stamp design usually mean it is a top row stamp.

it doesn't show up well on the scan but it's every bit as blue as the rest of the stamps ink so if it isn't a guide dot then maybe an ink splatter of some sort perhaps?

I thought this was interesting. You can see the dot from each plate (and some lines from the black plate).
