I was told to come to this site to get answers about the State of Ohio Vendors one cent receipts. I have five full books in fair condition and will be wanting to sell them. I do not know anything about them. Thanks,

Hi, and welcome to this forum. I am certain you will get a timely answer, however the posting of pictures will help tremendously!

We've had some previous discussions on this forum about these Ohio Tax Receipt Stamps. Since they were issued in the millions (billions?) the value is rather minimal, even though some collectors do find them an interesting sub-collection. In fact, if you search ebay, many examples are readily available for sale. The sold listings suggest that most are selling for under $1, some groups of stamps for as high as $5, but that's about it.

Here's one of several threads documenting previous information on these items:

I have several full books. I'm still not certain why I bought them. (it's that stamp hoarding thing ) I do remember the postage to ship them to me was more than what I paid for the stamps.
I wish I could tell you that you really have something there, but they are very common. However if you want more, please email me.
Pat
