The centering and selection on these is, by far, the best
I've seen in a long time for used classics by a single
seller... even the "double-bulls-eye" cancel on the 114
is pefectly centered, pretty much...

I was curious to see what you are calling a double-bulls-eye cancel, so I hunted the current page and three pages of completed listings, at 192 per page, and I did not find a #114 offered, let alone one with a double bulls-eye. Could you give us a link to the stamp in question?

Just looks like a double struck cancel to me. Not uncommon on high values as postmasters wanted to "really" cancel them so to speak.
