Utah Centennial

Here is my next cover given to me by t360... It's the First Day of Issue, Utah Centennial envelope by Art Craft. The envelope has 4 three cent stamps, the stamps are purple and show a covered wagon pulled by oxen, overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. It was canceled July 24, 1947, Salt Lake City, Utah. It is imprinted "This is the Place and" 1847 The Utah Centennial 1947". The envelope has an engraving of the Mormon Temple, Brigham Young and the Seagull Monument and states "100th Anniversary. Commemorating the journey of the Mormons under Brigham Young to the shores of Salt Lake, Utah 1847-1947". I have taken this info from ebay... Enjoy guys....

I hope you will like the new FDCs I sent you. There are a few uncommon cachets made by individuals and smaller companies. This one has an Artcraft cachet, which is nicely done, but also the most commonly encountered.
