I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if the FDC's that people get as a subscription, the ones that come in the pages, if it is important to keep those pages??

I came across a bunch of FDC's that are inserted and held to pages by their corners. These pages explain about the stamp and the issue or the reason that the FDC was created to begin with. So, I don't know if I should keep the FDC's in the pages or take them out and put them into Poly Sleeves to archive them.

Hope someone has an idea....Thanks....Marty

Marty Good question....myself I buy polyester two pocket pages at the hobby store for 25 cents each for my covers..because on some covers I want to see the front and back and the see through pages are cheaper than the black plastic ones..so its all up to you..you have a ready made display with the pages the covers are already in or you can display your covers by country, topic or whatever..thats the beauty of stamps and covers we can collect any way we like !!

Marty.....

It is entirely your choice. If you like them, keep them....if not, don't.

Overall, I was just wondering if leaving them in the pages or taking them out and putting them into envelopes reduces the value of them. I have covers held in pages, I have covers in books, and also by themselves. I want to get them into one format so I can store them easier. The ablums take up a lot of room, whereas in poly envelopes they take up a lot less room, so...?? Like I said, I am just curious.....Thanks to all!

Well to be honest you will have trouble getting anywhere near the subscription price when you go to sell them. There is just not enough demand on the secondary market. It really won't make any difference if you keep the pages or not, so you might as well keep them the way that you like best.
