This catalogs for 575.00. Can any one confirm this is the right stamp in my book?

No, it's not vermilion (not even close,) based on the color in your photo. Probably a claret/deep claret/lake IMO, so look at J31, J38 or J45 (depending on watermark.)

Agree completely with srailkb - the color is clearly not the vermilion, it's more of a claret-like color. Check the other Scott numbers as srailkb mentioned for the watermark.
