Actually leaving 81 that no one knows the location of. I would bet that more than 19 have been found; smart collectors are simply not talking about it. |

Quote: What's it worth? And does the value drop every time one is found? That probably won't be known for certain until the stamps are sold out, additional "finds" are announced, and the balance destroyed and the secondary market value takes over. Right now, the Right Side Up Souvenir Sheets are being reported sold in the mid $40K range. However, complicating the situation is that there was at least one Right Side Up Souvenir Sheet that was cut up into individual stamps, and if selling prices hold, would realize more for the pieces than the whole. In any event, it leaves no more than a total of 99 Right Side Up Souvenir Sheets potentially available, and 81 yet to be reported. As Revcollector already alluded to, there are very likely some unannounced finds that we may never know about until the stamps hit the secondary market. All of these issues, plus the supply and demand for them, will dictate future market value. In my opinion, they will always have considerable value, but whether they maintain or increase or decease from the mid-40K auction price point as time goes on is anyone's guess. |

Just my humble opinion I think these will market similar to the Bugs Bunny imperf & the Legends of the West, start strong and flatten out, especially as more are found & made available. Right now the unfound sets are worth $12 (except for those who willingly paid $XX,XXX for a found sheet or a single, or multiples in the hunt. So with the new find does the 'invert rush' pick-up or slacken.. I would also offer that although there were originally 100 sets seeded throughout the USPS retail & 'salt mine' there could very well be at least one unopened package in stock of automatic delivered in the system nation wide and a couple still in the main depository in Kansas. |

I only know that if I had $45,000 to spend on stamps, it would not be spent on buying one of these. |

Almost three months has passed since the last report of a Right Side Up Jenny Souvenir Sheet find. Today, (11/05/2014) Linn's Stamp News is reporting that a 20th "find" occurred in Zanesville, Ohio "in early November" bringing the tally up to 20 reported "finds" with 80 Right Side Up Jenny Souvenir Sheets yet to be discovered. http://linns.com/news/breaking-stam...-tally-at-20 |

If the single right-side up Jenny's are selling in the secondary market then I have a feeling we will be seeing more sheets cut up and sold like this.
Does anyone know when the USPS is planning on ending sales on these sheets other than if they sell out?
For sheets that do not sell, will the USPS cut open the cellophane wrap and search for any remaining right-side up sheets that may not have been sold or do they destroy the unsold sheets without knowing whether they've destroyed any of the 100 right-side up sheets?

I'd be surprised if the USPS removed them from sale before they're sold out. They're not tied to a rate that will expire at any given time, and I can't imagine they take up more than a pallet or two of storage in a warehouse. It's a piece of paper that cost them probably 10 cents to make and they can sell them for $12. I can't imagine a for-profit business would get rid of such a product, even if it's a slow mover. I do wonder how long it will take them to sell out, though. I'd be surprised if they lasted another year, but I really have no idea. |

I would like to purchase one or two of these but I am somewhat confused about how these are sold online. I can't buy directly from the USPS (I live in China) so I would have to buy from ebay or a dealer. They never mention that they have opened these to check them or they are original unopened as issued from the Post Office. Does anyone know somewhere a person overseas could buy these and they have been unchecked or opened?Just suspicious of some of the people selling them online, since what's to stop them from opening these and then resealing them? |

TomSwift: I can be 99.99999%sure that buying from a dealer or ebay would not get you an unopened packet. I would suggest that if you have family in the US that you contact them to make the purchase for you from either the Fulfillment Center or a local Post Office. There is no way someone like a dealer or selling on ebay is not going to have opened the product. They are in the same treasure hunt as we. |

Hi TomSwift, These Jenny sheets come from the USPS in a clear sealed cellophane wrapper. I have seen ebay sellers/dealers selling them in the original, unopened cellophane wrappers. So you don't need to have a family member in the US to get some....just go to ebay. I don't think there's a way to open the sealed cellophane wrapper without damaging it permanently. So, if you get one which is advertised as unopened and it clearly appears to have been opened, you are protected with ebay. |

Now i'm confused. Some people say ebay and Dealers can't be trusted, others say they can. Maybe I will just pay a visit to a Post Office in the US the next time I go down there, which will be next July. |

Not all post offices will have them, but some will. Your best bet is to ship it to someone in the US or Canada (trusted family or friend or even a forum member here) and have them ship to you. |

I think that the more of these, or any rare item, that are found, the less in value it may end up having in the long run. |
