New To The Forums, Not To Collecting!

Hi! Les Koller here, 51 year old from the USA. I have been "hoarding" or "accumulating" off and on since the mid '70's. Now, I'd like to make a proper collection and see just what I have. As of now the stamps are in a stock album and various boxes. Could someone kindly steer me to the thread that I know has to exist, "What Album is Best?" Thank you so much and I intend to be very active here.

Don't let anyone tell you different - hoards/accumulations of stamps are collections in every sense of the word - they're just housed somewhat haphazardly

Welcome to our group lkkollerJenny2U is 100% right about your hoarding. Are you collecting United States stamps or other countries? What format, i.e mint singles? Approx what years do the cover? This site may help.

I don't know what thread will tell you what album is best. But I will tell you that if you have U.S. Stamps . IMO the Mystic American Heirloom is the best. All D ring three ring binders so the pages stay flat. Stamps are mounted on only one side of the page. The yearly supplements are cheap. They start out with three binders and they are offered in three different Grades of quality of course each comes with a price. The cheapest is $39 for three volumes. Each stamp is pictured in Black and white. I have expanded from three volumes to five and I'm soon going to expand to seven volumes. Too many stamps in a binder will ruin the binder.
