Hi everyone. I have been lurking here for a while now. I just got back into stamp collecting after quite a long time. I really enjoy reading the various posts here and learn quite a bit from them. I would like to thank everybody here for the knowledge I am gaining.

Welcome to the group Ted,

Let's hear about what you collect or would like to collect. Hopefully it will line up with what I collect so I can have another trading partner. I sure enjoy this site and expect you will too.

Kind Regards,

Dave N.

Thanks for the nice welcome t360, oldtriguy1960, nr-notrare,and sharksfan11. I would like to try to collect a little bit of everything, but right now I only have U.S. I bought an old Scott National album which goes to 1993 or so. Want to try to get it completed-might be a little ambitious but would be nice.

As far as trading, I don't have much to work with yet. Have to work on getting some material to trade with. That was one of the reasons I hesitated to post here, seeing how everybody sends each other packets all the time. I kind of feel out of place without material to send.

Well, I better get moving-have to go to mother-in-law's house to help her with various things.

You all take care. I will try to get back here soon.

Ted

Welcome MCSA

Glad you decided to join us. Don't worry about having stamps to trade with. That will come with time. There a few of us here that started with a small collection. Then of course there are those like me who can't resist a good deal on ebay and go a little crazy from time to time.

Hope to see some of you collection.

Dianne

Welcome, Ted.

I collect Texas Air Mail Postal History, as I lived in Brownwood, Texas from Sept. 1994-Dec. 1995... what a great State!

Glad to see you here. you're back into the hobby, after putting it down for awhile, eh? Ask any questions you have, and we will all be pleased to help you out.

David

Welcome to SCF Ted, hang around and never worry about the trading part. It comes along quickly, that is part of what makes the hobby. Meeting and sharing with fellow collectors.

Hi again, everybody.
Thanks for the welcomes Dianne Earl, nuggethill, David Giles, 1775mac, bobgggg, stampnaround, and Triggersmob. I really appreciate the replies.

I kind of wish I wouldn't have purchased an album which was started on by another collector. It has far more spaces filled than I would have liked. I mainly bought it because it was cheaper than buying a new Scott National binder with pages to 1993. I can't believe the Scott pages are so pricey. However, I do like the weight of the paper. But, I think I want to go with the 3 ring binder instead of the 2 post. Plus, the 3 ring is cheaper.

Yes, I'm sure before I know it I will have more stamps than I know what to do with.Maybe I will get on ebay and look for a 10 pound box of assorted stamps.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner as I didn't get home until very late last night.

Take care, Ted
