I have 3 souvenir booklets of "The Voyages of Columbus" (1992) and 1 booklet of "U.S. Navy Submarines" (1999). I'm helping a widow dispose of pieces/parts of her late husband's collection. Any interest and value to these pieces? Coluumbus (Scott#'s 2624-2629) has face value of $16.14 and Sub (Scott#'s 3373-3377) has a face value of $9.80.

Actually, you can research ebay "sold" listings to get an idea of what these stamps would go for on the secondary market. My check suggests that most #2624-29 sold in the range of $13-$18; whereas #3373-77 sold in the range of $11-$16.

Bottom line is that you might be able to get a little above face value to the right buyer, but that has to be weighed against the time and effort to sell them in this manner.

If you decide to sell on ebay they'll charge a 10% final value fee, and you'll have to pay an extra 2.9%+30c to PayPal in fees for them to process the buyer's payment.
Assuming you sell the whole lot for face value ($58.22) you'll only receive $50.41 this way - and you haven't even paid postage yet...
