I used an ordinary Papermate Sharpwriter #2 mechanical pencil, my favorite for doing crosswords and other puzzles (great eraser!)

I searched the subject "remove pencil" and came
up with this thread. It was just what I had hoped for.
I read every word and realize it is complicated. I now know
I can try to safely remove pencil marks from covers. Be careful and only remove the lead. The late Bill Weiss offering so much insight on this subject. His speaking of the love and respect he had for Essayk and others was heartwarming. Thank's to all of you that teach! This is an awesome thread.
I hope to have a direct question on this subject very soon.
