You have yet again proved your abilities as an expert. I very much appreciate your contributions to this forum. I very much appreciate your response to my questions. Your position as an expert will always be needed to definitively make opinions on stamp identification amongst other things. Experts can never be replaced by anything other than the next generation of those who dedicate themselves to acquiring vast amounts of knowledge. Certification and the costs of it are absolutely necessary in this hobby.

And just think that anyone who attends the APS Summer Seminar course in June "Fundamentals of Expertizing" gets to listen to Clark in person, and has two "other" Instructors thrown in besides (myself and Irv Miller). So we invite you all. Go to APS website and select "Education", then "Summer Seminar" to find out all the details.

disi123 thanks.
I'm a little embarrassed by how much I seem to be repeating topics. Hopefully I'm getting better at documenting and retaining the things I learn.
I have some new (to me) useful equipment. Simple things, like stock books to store stamps with labels and notations. Also, I finally picked up some ronsonol fluid and YES I have seen single line watermarks. I've also started a book of articles printed from the web.

But most important, I hope, is my attitude. In the past I was just skimming through my accumulations trying to identify rarer versions. Jumping from group to group and just tucking things away when done. Never really forming a collection. Or documenting what I had.

What I'm doing now, hopefully, is being more organized and effective. Not one of my strong suits. My job is more people face to face, gut feel and reaction kind of thing.
I apologize to anyone that has taken time in the past to help me out, only to have me repeat the same types of questions later.

I can only offer my assurances that your time is not wasted on me. I do appreciate it.

Stephen

Stampcrow... be most assured, you're not wasting anyone's time...
your postings are all valuable to all whom view and read them,
whether previous or new... there's always new SCF members and
new readers whom haven't seen or read the prior...

The more reference material provided and discussed, either textually
or visually utimately helps us all... keep it coming, my friend...

Stephen--I've got 9 three-ring binders of printed reference material, Some of it coming from links listed on this site, that I use quite often.

Well said Randall--I fully agree!
