Hi guys...I am going crazy trying to figure out the Scott number for a couple of 2 cent stamps..The perforation I get is 10.9 vertical and 10.9 horizontal...There are lots of perf. 11 x 11....Can you help..?

wert, your scan is very blurry but does indicate that it is a flat pate printed stamp. To help you further, we need a much better scan. At the very least, your image allows me to confirm that the horizontal perforations are the same as the vertical perforations. Please post a detailed scan that allows us to see the details that will help us identify exactly what it is.

461 or 499... check for watermark...

These U.S. flat plate printed stamps should usually gauge around perforation 10.94 (Kiusalas 11-72) which is usually rounded up to perforation 11 by most catalogues. The catalogues use the left side of the perforation gauge shown above in halves and philatelic specialists use the right side of the perforation gauge shown above in tenths. It would be interesting to compare a Kiusalas perforation gauge against a Stanley Gibbons "Instanta" perforation gauge.

This is about as good as I can get it,,Seems the scanner is acting up..Will check for watermark shortly..Thanks.

I dont think I see any watermark even though I dont know what watermark to look for..so they must ne Scott 499's.
