The one without the grill is not a 94. It's a 64 or 65 depending on color. Most likely a 65

Sorry, I'm not an expert on colors. I was just mentioning that one without the grille can't be a 94.

Someone else should be able to help with the color

Mike 33 is correct. One is #65 (no grill) and one #94 ("F" Grill). If you have a Scott catalog you should see that the 3c 1861 stamp was issued first without a grill, then in 1867 the grilled stamps started to appear, at first with the grill covering the entire stamp ("A" grill), then becoming progressively smaller in size until the smallest of the series (the "F" grills) was issued the next year. So when you look at a 3c 1861-68 it can be the following possible stamps - depending on whether it has a grill or not (one of yours does not);

#64, 64a, 64b (pink color shades, no grill);

#65 (rose and other shades, no grill);

With Grill

#79 ("A");
#82 ("B");
#83 ("C");
#85 ("D");
#85C("Z");
#88 ("E");
#94 ("F").

Other colors now not considered to be issued stamps;

#66TC (Lake);
#74TC (Scarlet)

Hope this helps.
