Let me preface this by saying that I know this in very poor shape. The stamp was found with some other older stamps and they appeared to have been cut off of the envelopes, hence the back of it.

I have been on the site online (theswedishtiger site) to try to identify it, but I'm just having a difficult time as the black postmark is covering some areas and frankly, I'm getting very, very confused. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you so much! I'm going to go back to that site now and try to learn a little something more about the stamp!

Sherri, another very helpful site is 1847USA. If you go to www.stampsmarter.com it is on that website.
