Robert, I am not sure about this, but I believe you can scratch #461 off yous list. My Scott's tells me it is a 2 center!

Choices should be 501, 502, 529 & 530. Depends upon whether the stamp is type I, II, III or IV. While I'm not an expert, I think the presence of the 5th shading line in the toga rope points to either type II or type IV (502 or 530). The details aren't clear enough for this novice to hazard an exact id.

461 = 2c
501/502 - LOOKS TO BE
529 - offset printing
530 - offset printing

501 and 502 are engraved.
529 and 530 are offset.

From what I am seeing, the stamp does not look like offset printing.
If it is engraved, then types I and II are the choices. The fifth toga line appears to be present, and the line between the lips is strong. To me it looks like type II at the present magnification and brightness. If that bears out, then this is a 502.

Can Robert confirm any of this? Is it engraved? Is the fifth shading line in the toga rope present?

Edit: Just saw the new scan. It's 502.
