OK, now I'm confused.

If this pair weren't overprinted, how would I distinguish if they were R245 or R259?

Since they are overprinted, are they RD17, RD32 or RD59?

I'm very confused

Any insight is appreciated.
KirkS

Thanks londonbus,

I went back and looked at the catalogue again -- I didn't see the perf information. I get lost sometimes because some of the information gets too far away from the picture

Anyway, the perf is 11, so I guess that makes this the R17.

Kirk,
You are welcome. If you don't collect these, are they for exchange ?? Sale ?? Just wondering.

Yes, the example shown is vertical. The example not shown is horizontal !! I would much prefer to be horizontal !

Can you find this information in the Specialized Scott Catalogue, or where? I get lost in all the different books. Thanks.

The perf information is in the US revenue listing in both Scott Volume 1 and the US Specialized.

Look at the header in each listing block (e.g., the line immediately above RD42). It will give the date of issue, watermark, perforation, and other pertinent facts for that set.

If the information is missing, that is supposed to mean that it is unchanged from the previous set.
