Well, I have passed on the bug that I caught, its called stampus collectius. Its highly contagious, and symptoms include spending tons of money on stamps, staying up all hours of the night, feverishly grabbing all mail to check it, spending hours on the internet searching for more stamps, and several others major and minor. While it is incurable, it can be controlled by methodically posting stamps in albums.

So, this bug that I have caught has been passed on to my Dad! He came down yesterday to check on my burns, and I had been telling him about my stamps, and he took some of my extras (very few, lol)and hinges and we ordered some stamps and an album on the internet for him!

He said he had a small collection when he was a boy, (which I never knew) and over the years he lost them, and always wanted to start collecting again. He didn't partly because we don't have any where to buy stamps or anything, and he's terrible with the internet. I was trying to get everyone in my family involved and I didn't once think it would catch on with my Dad!

I'm so happy. Now I have someone to collect with! He's really interested, we spent hours last night looking up stamps. I can't wait until he gets his big lot of stamps in, I get the duplicates, too!

Well, that's different. Passing the hobby up instead of down. Usually it's the parents who pass the hobby onto the kids. Well done.

Let us know what his collecting interests are and maybe some of us can contribute to his affliction, as well as yours for that matter. What do you collect?
