I discovered what could possibly be an oddity. In the panel, the first column is printed lighter than the four other stamps. The difference is much more pronounced in the actual sheet. I am not sure if you can see what I am talking about in the attached scanned image. Has anyone found anything similar to this? Is this an oddity worth keeping?

All sorts of printing irregularities have been found on this little sheet. The printing job was to say the least lousy! Your sheet looks like it was under inked and yes, I suppose it is worth keeping as an oddity! If it is worth anything besides postage, only time will tell.

I can certainly see the difference but I agree with Peter that it likely is not worth anymore money

Thank you for your responses. Maybe when I'm 102 it will be worth something! :)

Eastsideislander, you're welcome! And about this 102 years old? Look at the catalog, not too many stamps from about 100 years old are making the big league!

From what I've seen, this is the poorest printed US issue sine the end of the 19th Century. The die cuts on pane I'm currently using for postage are so bad as to cut into the design at the left.

Not pleased with this issue, I find it upsetting that the USPS did this.

By the way, I am curious as to whether the USPS has destroyed all the remaining stock they have squirreled away in Kansas City?

At least that's what I last heard about this.

Regards,

Stampalotapus, you are probably not talking about this sheetlet, but about the 100 rightside up sheetlets?

Yes, you are correct Petert4522 - I am referring to the uprights, this whole thing just does not set well with me knowing that this was done.

Especially since I myself made numerous purchases with hopeful anticipation.

The cards were stacked against us all, I guess.
