Paris Post Card / Iowa To Switzerland With Scott #544 ???

HI guys,

I have one Quastion about this Post Card.
can someone tell me something about these stamps?
I measured and everything points tell that are Scott #544 ( Perf. 11, Size, Rotary Sheet weste , .. )
can be that a Scott #544??

The 544 was issued in 1922.

I thought that date Issue was **/5/1921 and EDU was 12/17/1922 ??
but no other stamp related to this datum with Perf. 11 and size 18.5-19 x 22.5, look here: " http://www.stampsmarter.com/1847usa...entifier.htm "

"A small quantity of 1c Rotary Press stamps was perforated 11 on a flat plate perforating machine at the end of 1922, using remainder sheets from the earlier printings that were normally perforated in 10 gauge or 10/11 compound gauge. Its existence as a Perf 11 variety was discovered in 1936, almost 13 years after it was produced. Its discovery was announced in an article in the Bureau Specialist by Max Johl, who in the same article announced the discovery of a 1c Franklin Rotary Perf 11 (what would become Scott 596 in 1963). The 1c Washington Rotary Perf 11 received its Scott Catalogue listing in 1938. Most of the recorded copies of Scott 544 are off-center or have been damaged -- the result of poor production standards and mis-handling."

bud, the 545 is very similar, isn't it?

yes is similar, very similar, but Design size is not the same.
I have measured 100 times and always come to the same result.
how can that be the same Scott number with different design size???
mine both stamps have on all side ( top, bottom, middle ) exactly 19 x 22.5mm ( same as #544, and #545 have 19.5+ x 22 )?
now I am confused!!

SC 498, best determination of size is not by measuring, but by comparing with a known 498.
