Anyway, another part of my decision is that in my collection, I already have a ton of damaged stamps. Damaged stamps simply are much, much harder to resell.

I'm a weirdo that doesn't even keep an album. Some notable ones are kept in dealer stock cards, but the rest are all in glassines where I can easily pull them out for study.

Having said that, I like all of them and would buy all three if I could afford them. If I was forced to choose, then I would pick #1 because it has some clues to its postal history.

All three were scanned within 14 minutes of each other on the same scanner. The scans aren't the best at depicting them in the real world and they are about half the maximum file size limit here.

Image EXIF metadata can tell you a lot. http://www.irfanview.com/ and its plugins are what I use for processing many of my images posted here and for viewing metadata.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. I wasn't worried about the exact color shade nor was I asking for them to be plated or ID'd based on some tiny feature.

eyeonwall,
That was intended to help answer a question from another poster. It was just an observation.

I would take the 3rd one. I myself like mint stamps, the back of the stamp does not matter to me that much because how really see it.

The price was right, so I took them all.

Too bad the lot didn't include 169 & 194.
Of course, those would almost certainly not have been canceled.
