Going through a lot I recently purchased I came across this Horz. Perf 11 Washington. Not sure what someone was trying to accomplish with this one.

I think that stamp is simply the result of a shaky hand. If I mauled it like that, I'd still have trouble just throwing it away.

Not considering the poor trim job, I have no clue what the intended result might be. It's still a Perf 11.

Yes, perf. 11, perf'ed on three sides. Possibly the stamp was placed very close to the edge of an envelope and someone using scissors, or a knife, to open the envelope cut into the stamp? You'll never really know what the cause was, but I don't see it as an attempt to defraud.... or at least defraud knowledgeable collectors.

I agree with Partime... the perf is folded diagonally and bringing with
it ~ part of the guideline...
