I have made several attempts to purchase this stamp through the stamp wants web site and I always end up getting the one with the 1998 date on it. One of the sellers was one of the top 10 sellers on the site and when I questioned him about why the stamp has a 1998 date on it instead of the 2002 date he said that was the way they all were.

My album clearly shows the stamp should have a 2002 date on it. I usually add this stamp on with others I order so I end up wasting very little money but I'm beginning to wonder if I'm after a stamp that doesn't exist with a 2002 date on it.

Can any one help? Thank you.

davef,

3036 has die cut perfs 11 1/2 by 11 1/4 and shows yellow-green under UV light.
3036a has die cut perfs of 11 3/4 by 11 and shows light blue-green under UV. Both are dated 1998.

I think the only difference are the perforations.

3036 - $1 Red Fox (98) (Perf 11.5 x 11.25)
3036a - $1 Red Fox (02) (Perf 11.75 x 11)
