Tina, the 'pillar' are all the members who have posted 500 notes on the various treads on this site. The moderator is an editor of sorts on the site, overseeing all treads, makes sure that content is appropriate and in-line with the subject, Stamps!

Tina you are almost a 'pillar of the community' now!

You have one of my all time favorite US airmails in there Tina - top center. Scott # C23.

There was an article in the most recent Linn's about that issue. I thought FDR had designed it (along with others during his presidential years) but he only ordered a change of the vignette from an airplane to the eagle.

The other interesting fact is that the stamp is a combination of three different engravings done by three different people, one already long dead when the stamp was issued.

Laswabbie that was posted way back in april many many stamp sorts ago let me go see if I can locate that and if I do hey its yours,is it a good one?
