Yes, they do come with a "natural straight edge". The 3c 1857 was printed in sheets of 200 and cut vertically into left and right panes of 100. Your stamp actually looks to be from the 10th vertical column of the right pane. So, I don't believe your stamp has a natural strait edge but there is some chance that I am wrong.
