Hello,
Came across some stamps and was wondering if someone could help me estimate the values of these. I am new to the hobby and your input would go far. Thankyou!

I can give you some information on a few of your Zeppelins though I'll have to leave the rest to the others to tell you about this very fine collection of mint stamps,I have Scott's 2007 catalogue in which these prices are taken, these all look like mint but are they hinged as hinging reduces the price of the stamp.
I'll give you the prices for mint and then the prices for stamps not hinged though I'll let someone else tell you what the price of a block is as I have no idea,
Scott's say the 65c C13/AP9 is $250.00 NH $425
$1.30 C14/AP10 is $500.00 NH $900.00
$2.60 C15/AP11 is $750.00 NH $1200.00
All 3 (one of each)mint $1525.00
All 3 NH $2525.00
As I said this is a 2 year old catalogue so if I'm wrong I hope someone will chime in
hope this helps
regards
Harry

Welcome! You randomly came across a set of block of 4 (1, block of 8) possiblily MNH 'Zeps' est would be $8000, though depending on actual condition of the stamps. You happen across what most US collectors only dream of. The other are all decent stamps especially the .15c Henry Clay about $200. MNH. Check auctions for realized values of the 'Zeps'.

I hate to be the one to bring this up, but...

I looked at your second scan. The stamp sizes don't make any sense whatsoever. To be honest, I think they are reproductions or else something someone may have cut out of a Mystic catalog.

I've gone through a number of collections in which collectors have cut expensive items out of color catalogs/advertisements to serve as space-fillers.

My first suggestion would be to examine them again and make sure they are real stamps.

I hope I'm wrong.

[EDIT: fry1goat has subsequently posted that he did in fact use a camera and cropped/cut from several photos. That explains the anomalies. Therefore, I retract the comments about reproductions.]

Regarding the first scan of the Harding stamps...

Based on my observation of the picture, unless you used a digital camera and then cropped the picture, I would say they are not real. If you scanned it, then for sure not real.

[EDIT: fry1goat has subsequently posted that he did in fact use a camera and cropped/cut from several photos. That explains the anomalies. Therefore, I retract the comments about these not being real.]

I used my camera and then cropped them, thats why they are uneven looking.

OK, understood. That explains the size variations and the angled stamps. Then I retract the comments I made earlier.

Yes, that seems possible, but on the other hand, the blocks of 4 do appear to be perforated. As you say, it's hard to tell from the pics.

FRY1GOAT: I'll give you $20 for the whole bunch of them

Yes, after he explained he had altered (cropped/resized) the pictures, then I understood what had happened and retracted the comment. I will go edit the comments to indicate I have retracted them so there will not be anymore confusion.
