hello I found a two cents washington stamp a time ago and I checked the perforation several times then and it is the 12-10 perforation!i have checked again 10 times 12-10! I wonder if it can be rose red 423 b or maybe some ather number!is there enyone experinsed whith the two cents washington 12-10!eny help is welcome!here is the scan

No, it is not a 423B. First, the design is "Two Cents" (Scott design A139) and not "2 Cents 2" (Scott design A140).

You are also not measuring the perfs correctly. The perfs are the same measurement on all sides as shown by this illustration. (I took your image and placed the top perfs next to the other three sides, they all line up.)



I recommend changing how you identify stamps. Start the process by assuming that it is most likely that you have the most common stamp, not the rarest stamp. Then work your way through the identification process of elimination towards the rarer stamps if the common stamp doesn't match.

hello and thanks for the help! I have looked closer and it seems that it isent 12-10 it hade a duibble tuth whith I dident see so I think you are correct! so you men that I should asome that it is comon stamp I always do it was the perforation I was missgueded of!thanks for the help!maybe next time!
