I can't tell if the one on the right is a 220 or a 220A. Pretty sure the left one is a 440.

Is either worth more than $10?

BTW, my Scott #1 went for $150 on ebay. Thanks to all for your advice.

The stamp on the right is a #220a - "cap on left 2" variety. That particular example is not worth $10, let alone more than $10. It has had the bottom perforations trimmed off, and the right perforations cut into the design. Cannot say how it looks on the reverse.

I don't collect the Washington-Frankins. Someone else will have to help you sort through that. Have you checked the watermark on this one?

Check for a watermark, and in this case, you don't want to see one....
#440, has a single line watermark, Scott CV = $20
#477, unwatermarked, Scott CV = $85

If you don't have any perf creases or any thins, it looks like a really nice stamp. Top left side looks like a possible perf issue, albeit a small one, but either way, a very nicely centered, my opinion is at least VF.

Hope this helps, Ray

Can you tell anything about a watermark from this?
