First off let me say I am not trying to remove anything that was supposed to be there. My problem is regummed stamps. Is there something safe for the stamp that gets it off easier, using water sometimes takes many many tries. I try not to buy these to start with but buying lots and albums and such you end up with them.

Not to be an idiot, but does the 'bad' gum bother you?

Unless there is some cosmetic reason (staining) that the gum is causing, I would leave it alone. A mild soap and warm water solution should hasten gum removal. A soft, red sable brush can also speed the process, but I wouldn't be in a hurry.

When I have regummed stamps, I just soak them and go with a no gum stamp.
