Welcome to the board!

It is the Scott #300, from the 1902-3 series.

It is a common stamp but you can have lots of fun hunting for numerous plate varieties among multiple copies, sometimes called fly-specking or shift-hunting. I've purchased 3000 or so copies in lots of this stamp for that purpose. A good book is Encyclopedia of Plate Varieties by Loran French.

Robi, I use this site quite a lot. (Not that I can afford fine stamps like these!)

Robie13, this is a very good site for you to go to and study. The example of the #300 you have is poorly center and seems toned. Value is pretty much nothing for that copy.

Robert/Robi13,
you've gotten a lot of good recommendations for websites to learn from.

Your 1902 Franklin 1c stamp is not in good condition, but it does seem to have some minor evidence of a double transfer. That doesn't make it very valuable, but it could make it at least philatelically interesting. Crop that image to only the stamp and then try to upload it.

Ryan.

My English is not good enough (I'm not a native speaker) to understand all the details written in those sophisticated explanations. I will try to fix the image as you recommended and post it again.

Cheers,
Robert
