1869 Pictoral (Sc 112) With Unusual Perforations

This stamp was in my latest APS Circuit.



Although I've been collecting for a while, I'm still a novice in so many areas. The tiny line down the right margin isn't a fold, tear, or thin. But the perfs on the right side look "unusual" to me.

Is it just me? What do you suspect?

Looks like a sealed (repaired) tear. The perfs on the right side were scissor cut. I would pass on it.

I believe t360 is referring to the line down the right quarter of the stamp.
The perforation appears to me to be from a scissors cut on the right edge.

Tom -- yeah, I passed on it.

The thing that is so amazing to me is that I pulled it from the mount and inspected with a magnifier and I still couldn't see any blemish in the paper along that line, but the line itself is even more distinct under magnification.

I'll say this for whoever repaired it, they did an awesome job of making the paper look intact. I'm glad I got to inspect it.
