Hi all.

Which measurements are the correct ones and what difference does it make (I measured perforation front and back side as well as length and width)Im getting really crazy from this stamp.

To which philatelic institute I could send this stamp for testing?

Thanks and once again sorry.
Robert

You should be aware that certificates aren't cheap. Usually you will spend at least $25-$30 to have a stamp certified/expertized. But some of the expertizing groups have started identifying stamps without issuing certificates for a much cheaper price ... around $5 to $10. Not sure that PF does this, but I'm fairly certain that APEX (APS expertization group) does. I suspect that you may even be able to get the cheaper id automatically followed up with a certification if the stamp proves valuable.

You have been give 2 choices and both are established institutions. You've been told what your stamp is so you have 2 choices, believe what you were told on your previous thread about them being Scott 632 or spend the money and have an expertizer tell you it's a Scott 632, it's really very simple.

I do not think that stallzer was offensive at all.

Historical DNA once said in a thread is that,
"he was tired of seeing a dead horse being beaten".

Somehow this thread and your previous ones have been
going in circles. You have received good advice, and
we all implore you to take your stamp for expertising.
Good luck, we all wish to keep it happy and informative!

I meant no offense. You have been given answers and now it's your choice on the next course of action. Members here have seen a few posts from beginning collectors who believe they have found a very rare 594 or 596.

There is a lot of information in these links below. Also typing in 594 or 596 at the top of this forum will show many similar threads all with great information

This is a quick and easy way to get an ID from the American Philatelic Society. I've used this service and it is excellent.

Could I have snapped on Robi thinking this
was still Leon on the same subject that made you
all crazy.

Ray, "is Leon and Robi the same person from two different
countries?" what you said on the Leon thread made me think.
I reread Robi's threads and I think I could have messed up.
If I crossed threads OMG! I owe everyone an apology.

Respectfully!

Sometimes it not good to look too hard into the stamp because a perf 10 1/2 X 11 stamp is never going to be exactly those perfs. If there isnt a big enough reward to get something checked then dont do it. I have a bunch of stamps that I got from albums that I would like to know if they real or not but its not worth the $ to see.
