Hi,

I have some old stamps in a box left by my grandmother and know nothing about stamps :)

I found this 5 cent blue Washington from about 1908 to 1917 I believe. Instead of the usual 4 or 2 perforated sides, it has 3 sides perforated. Is that unusual? I can't seem to find anything online about stamps like this.

Thank you!

Hi rlarouc, and welcome to the forum. Your stamp is normal - it comes from the edge of the pane. As such, they are somewhat less desirable in a collection unless you collect all possible combinations.

It looks like U.S. Scott # 504 with a straight edge.
