Greetings from the State of Universities and Law Offices!

A woman in late 30s. Former litigation paralegal. First year of stamp collecting (already collected a pretty good worldwide stamp collection, have many extras). Thrilled performing research, reading, getting in touch with the time when stamps used to make this world much happier place... Love studying-recognizing forgeries. Almost totally crazy ))) - just because of one interesting stamp bought a microscope!

No friend in my reality collects stamps.
Thanks God I found you!

Friendly peeps here. Helpful too.
Do you collect used or mint stamps?

Prefer mint, happy to have used - as an example how the original (mint) should look, etc. I bought some blocks just to get more knowledge about the watermarks, perforation, gum, paper, etc.
I would love to become an expert in philately.))

Finally understood my wrong not introducing to my collection of stamps...
Writing just for information, do not expect any friendliness anymore.

I do have:
- almost fully completed "The Voyager stamp album" (all around the World),
- International Junior Postage - Stamp album (1840-1940),
- many modern stamps 1940-1990 (worldwide, sitting on album pages);
- pretty big worldwide topical collections: Fauna, Flora, Astronauts, Olympics, Art, Airplanes, Boats, Kennedy, etc.
I do have many extras - used, mint or blocks.
Still organizing, researching and reading a lot.
I am aimed to have a really interesting discussions here -
share copies of the stamps and collections, exchange links for studies, expert guidances, etc.

Thank you for reading.

Hello, Aurora and welcome. I was responding to your post in the Main Collecting forum when it disappeared (deleted by you?). Anyway, I felt bad that you seem to have not felt overly welcomed here. Our bad: Please continue to ask any questions you have. You made an interesting point about separating out advanced/expert topic discussion. Perhaps the moderators would consider setting up a Beginner's or New Collector's forum?

Welcome to Stamp Community. I am from Massachusetts originally though live in Virginia now. I also collect worldwide - though I prefer used. This is a great place to get questions answered. Hope you enjoy being in this group as much as I do.
