Is there any way to visually tell a 'blue paper' stamp from a normal one? This postcard stamp, perf 12x12 definitely has a bluish or greenish tinge to it compared to the rest that appear more white or brownish. The postmark date would pass the test.

The name blue paper is misleading as the paper is a dull grayish paper. Search here (3rd box from right, above) or on Stamp Smarter. right side bottom of page.

A more corroborating postmark would be Washington DC. Almost all SC 357 postcards are from DC.

Good to know Chasa!

Able to see only the frame line on mine and the fact I see more green tint than grey I am leaning toward the negative. Too bad, the post card was addressed to the wife of a well known Norweigan/American writer - Ole Rolvaag. Would have made a nice addition!
