Does anyone know of a list of stamps that have been plated? I know of the U.S. One Cent Stamp of 1851-61 and the 3˘ Stamp of the United States, 1851-1857, but was wondering what others have been plated.
Thanks,
Wally

i know of no such list specifically compiled for this reason, but I'm sure the SCF family can put one together. For US stamps I'd start with the famous Perry plating of the 10-cent 1847 (Scott #2) and, in addition to the examples cited in OP, the 12-cent 1851-57 and 10-cent 1855-59, as well as the NY Postmaster's Provisional, the Providence RI Postmaster's provisional, and the St. Louis Postmaster's Provisional. |

The OP already seemed to have signed off on this subject. I am very interested in all the answers since I am attempting to plate a Swiss stamp. I also follow with much interest the plating (?) of the 1098 Canadian "christmas" stamp. This is in my opinion one of the most interesting aspects of philately. It was never intended to just collect a batch of pretty pictures, but to learn something while at the same time putting a collection together. By the way, ever since the sixties a fantastic sets of books have been available, showing all of the plates of the first issue of the Netherlands.
