It looks like the real thing.
5c, not 3c. See the Scott Catalog #467 and 505,
check the perfs and you will know what you have.
It is a 'good find.' Treat it with care.

Perhaps it is a #505 error block? (5 cents not 3 cents, I can't really tell from image).

Is this a fact finding mission or an actual holding by you or your friend? Quite exciting.

I vote real. Looks like it's been hinged (upper-right and thru the perfs) but I wish I had it!

Love the 505 error, especially in a block. They are plentiful but exciting! Plate blocks like this usually sell 300-500$ range at auction, depending on centering. Never hinged examples can go for double. Nice find!

Hi,my friend actually was looking around on Delcampe and saw it,he wasn't interested and told me,it's not my thing either so if anybody wants to have a look it's on Delcampe, the fella's name there is PRIMARYSTAMPS.

Delcampe is a good site,I've never found "the big one" there but there's lots of stamps, covers and stuff.

I'm not a guy who keeps stuff secret I'm not interested in,Merry Xmas,go have a look.
