Ran across this stamp that appears to me to be Horz. laid paper? Would appreciate any inputs the forum might have.

Chaulkdust, please also search for your laid paper on this forum. There is a search butto on the top of this page and there are several good threads here on the subject.

I don't have much doubt that it is laid paper.

It has enough going for it that it is worthwhile to send it to the PF for a cert. Do make sure it's from the PF since they have the greatest authority on items like this.

If you can feel/detect corrugations then it is not laid paper. By all means look at it in fluid when it first takes up the liquid to see if the pattern emerges more strongly.

Thanks for replies, I will be sending it in to the PF. Funny how I got this stamp. I had hand surgery so I wasn't doing much of anything. Decided to cruise ebay and look around for stamps and ran across this one. Ended up taking a gamble on the laid paper for a grand total of $4.25. Perhaps I just got lucky on this one. Will post the results of the PF Cert when it arrives.
