Get the Scoutmaster to get you a copy of the Stamp Collecting Merit Badge handbook. That will outline what has the boys have to do to earn the badge.

Let us know if there is anything else you need help with for the Troop.

I think I am OK right now. I will keep you in mind once I know how many scouts signup for the merit badge workshop.

I will check with him on that. I still have to get register, be approved, and take an youth safety course to be a counselor for the local BSA council.

I have been approved to be a merit badge counselor. The scouts are still interested & are asking when to sign up for a workshop! Since this is my 1st go around, I wonder how much time to set aside for the workshop? If all goes well, hopefully in the next couple months I will have certified several scouts. I have also drawn up a letter to send out to my area's scout troops to offer my assistance.

Well I finally heard back from the Troop I had done the presentation for months ago. They have 4 scouts signed up for the Stamp Collecting merit badge. Hopefully, I can do a workshop with them in November & then follow up once they have their collections in order for final approval. I had also stopped by the local council asking for a directory of the local scoutmasters, they said it would take a few days and I purchased the current Merit Badge Pamphlett.

Good on. I hope you see some more interest.

I hope I haven't gotten in over my head.......LOL Kids can tear you up and spit you out.

I finally got the scout troop to lock in a date and time to conduct my first merit badge class. It is January 4th. I know for sure that there are 4 scouts signed up and hopefully more by months end. Just thought I'd let you all know.

I'm putting together a box for you right now Dude - It will be in the mail one day this week.
