Hello All!,

I'm new here to the forum and I just wanted to say G'Day and tell you all why I joined,

I joined because about 12years ago when I was in school I started collecting stamps and my fathers boss's father had been collecting stamps for years too and to my suprise he gave me his collection!

And yesturday when I was cleaning I saw the stamps and it got me thinking '' I wonder how much if anything are they worth!?''

So I decided to join here and was wondering can anyone point me into the right direction on finding what they are worth?

I know nothing about stamps to be honest and they are from all over the world and date back back many years

thanks
Steven

steven,
Welcome. I hope the collecting bug has once again bitten you and you continue with your collection you have dusted off. To help with value I suggest posting pictures, tell us about the collection, and look into getting a catalog (your local library should have a set).

G'day Cobber,

Good to see another Aussie on the forum. Even if you are from Melbourne LOL. I would also suggest obtaining a catalogue from the library and slowly working your way through that. Also post any pics on the forum, if you find some tricky ones.
Stick around and enjoy the hobby.

I had a quick look threw the books I have and it seems stamps that are joined together are more valuable so I took a pic of the first one I saw lol

There are two main catalogues you could use, these are Stanley Gibbons and Scotts.
