Hi guys
Thanks for the welcome.
Shabbona is the only place I found that was even close. I like it when things like this come up. I enjoy searching.

doodles, welcome & thanks for jumping right in.

djd, Shabbona IL is not Route 66 related. However, I wonder what the signifigance of the tree ring postcard is to that town. I wonder what memory it would unlock for the sender? The town sits halfway between chicago and rockford in Northern IL.

Counter display for the Year of the Pig (Boar) stamps.

No one had laid claim to this at the postal franchise outlet so I did!
When they put up a new display they called me and gave me this.
Just happened to ask at the right time. Lucky me!

When you have to put a pig on a stamp and sell it
you might as well make it cute!

I came across these in the last big batch. I think they might qualify as unique.

Harris & Co. maker of Stamp Albums of the 60's & 70's had these available to collecters. Cool but not unique.

I suppose this postcard 15 piece puzzle is at least a little unique. The address side can be peeled off to access the puzzle.

I guess I'm not the only one with "lumber-mail" The doggone thing is 2 mm thick!

I'm glad I wasn't the one to ask a PO clerk to hand stamp this one!

The stamp sure paid the price though...
