Hi guys Thanks for the welcome. Shabbona is the only place I found that was even close. I like it when things like this come up. I enjoy searching. |

doodles, welcome & thanks for jumping right in.
djd, Shabbona IL is not Route 66 related. However, I wonder what the signifigance of the tree ring postcard is to that town. I wonder what memory it would unlock for the sender? The town sits halfway between chicago and rockford in Northern IL. |

Counter display for the Year of the Pig (Boar) stamps. No one had laid claim to this at the postal franchise outlet so I did! When they put up a new display they called me and gave me this. Just happened to ask at the right time. Lucky me! When you have to put a pig on a stamp and sell it you might as well make it cute! |

I came across these in the last big batch. I think they might qualify as unique. |

Harris & Co. maker of Stamp Albums of the 60's & 70's had these available to collecters. Cool but not unique.

I guess I'm not the only one with "lumber-mail" The doggone thing is 2 mm thick! I'm glad I wasn't the one to ask a PO clerk to hand stamp this one! The stamp sure paid the price though... Dan |
