Wow. There aren't many sheets I want anymore, but this one brings back wonderful memories. I had a really cool Hopalong Cassidy rug beside my bed. Wish I still had it. The only show I didn't watch was The Tonight Show; my parents wouldn't let me stay up that late. I certainly hope to get a sheet or at least nice used copies. I hope there will be another issue that will have: Leave it to Beaver; The Buster Brown Show; Capt. Kangaroo; The Mickey Mouse Club, The Milton Berle Show; Roy Rogers; Sky King; and so many more. I agree Uncle Miltie was Tuesday night..if you had a tv set you invited the neighbors who did not...people considered one another in those days ! |

I was living in Germany when Lassie was popular. I had to watch it dubbed in German. The only actor I understood was Lassie herself. She spoke perfect dog. |

Hey,
Maybe they'll do a Classic TV Shows II! Don't forget "Star Trek" The real one I mean! I asked at my PO for them, but am told they hadn't got them in yet. Sounded like other people had been asking for them at the PO too. So these may be a sell out.

It appears that these will be so popular, that surely USPS will have another issue that will include different shows. |

BTW, in my first post I mentioned that I hoped the Milton Berle Show would be included in a future issue. Well, I looked more closely at the current issue and he is actually present in this new issue on the Texaco Star Theater stamp. I can still remember crowded around a tiny TV screen laughing like crazy at his humor; good clean genuinely funny humor that all ages could watch. He certainly deserved the title given to him: "Mr. television". Marty |

I asked for these yesterday; evidently my PO only got a few sheets and they went fast. Luckily they'd just gotten a new shipment in, so I was able to get a sheet. |
